  • Responsibilities

    As a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – 2ND SHIFT with LIBERTY PACKAGING, you will be an integral part of the production team and lead our Converting team to success. 

    This full-time position reports directly to the PLANT SUPERINTENDENT and is located at Liberty Packaging’s manufacturing plant in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.

    HOURS/SHIFT: This position is 2nd Shift, Monday -Friday  3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

     

    Required Skills

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: 

    • Proactively lead, improve and deliver production results
    • Coordinate with maintenance to ensure minimal downtime due to machine breakdowns and repairs
    • Work in close partnership with human resources to effectively identify, document and resolve employee issues
    • Manage quality initiatives to meet customer expectations
    • Maintain top talent and develop key strategies to develop team
    • Ability to manage financial budgets to include controlling labor costs
    • Adhere to all safety, OSHA, Federal and State safety requirements
    • Communicate schedules and priorities to other shifts in between shift changes
    • Inspect operating equipment and machinery
    • Lead by managing the day to day operations of coordinating employees, equipment, and materials/supplies
    • Manage the performance and development of the production team by upholding policies and procedures with effective training, coaching and support

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma (Preferred) or GED
    • A minimum 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of working  in a Converting/Corrugated setting preferred
    • Ability to coach and mentor employees
    • Previous experience in using manufacturing software
    • A general understanding of manufacturing/production requirements, processes and materials, including production scheduling, Bill of Materials (BOMs), pricing structures, routings, etc.
    • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical/math skills as you negotiate order and shipping commitments with customers.
