    POSITION DETAILS

    Stewards Individual Placement Program (SIPP) provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants work with federal agencies, tribal governments, and nonprofits building institutional capacity, developing community relationships, and supporting ecosystem health. SIPP in partnership with the National Capital Regional Office are seeking an intern who will work to expand stories that represent diversity, and assist with training programs, establish process and approval flows, conduct data analysis and act as the primary point of contact for other collaborative management groups in the area.

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Create workflow processes for IMAG and be the primary point of contact for logistics.
    • Populate internal SharePoint website to share resources between parks and the regional office.
    • Assist parks with reports and data calls.
    • Assist with evaluating interpretive and education programs in the parks.
    • Assist in the coordination of region-wide events

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree, no specific field required
    • Experience using Microsoft productivity suite including Flow, Sharepoint, Teams, and Power Automate.
    • Experience with fostering communication and collaboration within diverse teams

     

     

     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Writing and editing policy documents, press releases and other public communications. Special emphasis on experience with educational exhibits.  
    • Applying historical research and context to contemporary social issues in discussion and writing.

     

    BENEFITS:

    • Living Allowance: $750/week (pre-tax)
