Weaving Technician - Twist - 1st shift

  • Responsibilities
    • Follow established safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Inspect machine set-up at beginning and end of shift. Confirm setting as required by product changes
    • Repair all maintenance problems on machinery
    • Keep cone winders full of yarn oil
    • Maintains good housekeeping
    • Perform all preventive maintenance duties
    • Order replacement and spare parts
    • Pull raw yarn for pirn winder, twister, and winders
    • Assist with baling of cardboard
    • Ensure yarn and supplies are received and stored in proper locations
    • Complete paperwork as required
    • Assist operators as needed
    • All other duties assigned

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Must be to read and write
    • Must have good communication
    • Prioritize jobs at hand, and have experience with winding and twisting equipment
    • Manual dexterity and good physical condition
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and bend over or get on floor as required, to make repairs on machinery
    • Must use knowledge to solve problems and make repairs in efficient and effective manner
    • Works in climate-controlled area

  • Qualifications

    1. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of routine and critical procedures with critical thinking skills for both adults, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

    2. Thorough knowledge of Respiratory physiology and ability to practice good judgment in the implementation of clinical interventions indicated by the patient status.

    3. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.

    4. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.

    5. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.

    6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
