JOB SUMMARY
**Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

The Test Technician is a professional responsible for conducting tests and inspections on products, components, or systems to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct testing procedures on products, components, or systems according to established protocols and specifications.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment, including instrumentation, measurement devices, and testing tools.
- Record and document test results accurately, including measurements, observations, and any deviations from expected outcomes.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the testing process, working to understand and resolve any anomalies or discrepancies.
- Ensure that products meet quality standards by performing thorough inspections and tests, reporting any non-conformities to supervisors.
- Calibrate testing equipment regularly to maintain accuracy and reliability in measurements.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to communicate testing results and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during testing procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and any issues encountered during the testing process.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with testing equipment, measurement tools, and testing procedures. Ability to interpret technical specifications.
- Good communication skills to effectively report results and collaborate with team members.
- Awareness and adherence to safety regulations and guidelines in a laboratory or testing environment.
**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED **
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
- Ability to troubleshoot and address issues that may arise during testing procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Willingness to adapt to new testing methods, equipment, or procedures.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE **
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some positions may require technical coursework or an associate degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a testing or quality assurance role is beneficial but not always required, as some positions may offer on-the-job training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Frequent walking
- Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
- Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 15 pounds
WORK SCHEDULE
Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. You are required to be at your workstation from the start of your shift to the completion of your shift Monday thru Friday.
