    Job Description

    The INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT SPECIALIST will support a team providing engineering, ILS capabilities and expertise to a range of programs. Maintain database structures (LSA) and elements used to identify maintenance support requirements for a variety of both military tactical aircraft as well as ground tactical vehicles. Conducts analyses to identify and document maintenance tasks, spares requirements and support requirements throughout component lifecycle. Assesses lifecycle cost impacts, sensitivity analysis, design change and design influence factors that affect system supportability. 

    • RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

      • Interpret contractual requirements for logistics related tasks.
      • Prepare estimates of logistics support requirements.
      • Ensure proper specifications are used for the development of logistics related data.
      • Conducts analyses to identify and document throughout component lifecycle:
        • Maintenance tasks.
        • Spares requirements.
        • Support requirements.
        • Training requirements
      • Develop and coordinate schedules for logistics related tasks.
      • Prepare both Military and Commercial Technical Manuals per customer requirements using engineering data as source material.
      • Assist in the preparation of Provisioning Technical Documentation.
      • Prepare Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) reports and lists per GEIA-STD-0007-B or as required by contractual requirements.
      • Prepare and conduct customer training and preparation of associated materials.
      • Prepare life cycle cost analysis utilizing LCC modeling tools, i.e. CASA 9.0, COMPASS.
      • Perform other duties within incumbent's abilities.
      • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    AUTHORITIES:

    •  PROVIDED ACCESS AND INFORMATION NEEDED TO CREATE EITHER A MILITARY OR COMMERCIAL TECHNICAL MANUAL.
    • To coordinate and lead customer training as needed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION (HIGHEST LEVEL REQUIRED/PREFERRED):

    Bachelor's degree required or 5-10 years functional experience may substitute.

    Specific Degree Field, only if required: BUSINESS OR LOGISTICS OR COMPUTER SCIENCE.

    TRAINING PRE-REQUISITES (WITHIN ONE YEAR OF TAKING POSITION):

    XX ESD

    XX Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

    Preferred:        CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL LOGISTICIAN (CPL)

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Functional: 3-5 years

    Industry: 3-5 years

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED (Unique and Measurable):

    • Experienced in the area of ILS administration including: planning, supply, purchasing, provisioning, design, reliability, validation and maintainability analysis of complex avionic and electronic systems/equipment per DOD requirements.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, and Visio.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of DoD logistics support software tools such as CASA 9.0, COMPASS, PowerLog-J.
    • Strong background in engineering data and technical data development.
    • Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) credentials highly desirable.
    • Former military officers or degreed Staff Noncommissioned Officers with aviation or program management background desired.
    • Knowledge of Technical Documentation development and implementation is required.
    • Previous NAVAIR program office support experience desired.
    • Job-related experience or equivalent in U.S. military airborne and shipboard electronics, electrical or mechanical systems design and analysis or operation and maintenance and related task accomplishment is desired.
    • Ability to perform detail-oriented work is required.
    • Self-motivated work style.
    • Possess analytical skills.
    • Customer-oriented.
    • Must have the ability to clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to review, interpret and understand design drawings for aircraft and shipboard systems and components.
    • Experience in technical writing and editing is a plus.
