    Job Description

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create, compile, review and file necessary documentation required to support U.S. Import Customs clearance activities.
    • Prepare and execute self-filed entries for Customs Clearance.
    • Support for self-filing as well as broker-filed import transactions and ACH payment process.
    • Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure proper USHTS classifications and relative declarations.
    • Assist in obtaining and reporting export or temporary import licenses from the Departments of State or Commerce.
    • Maintain records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Support the company’s internal trade compliance audit program.
    • Participate in qualification and process of Free Trade Agreements and other GSP programs.
    • Provide guidance and support to company personnel to support international shipping requirements.
    • Other trade compliance-related duties, as assigned.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • A Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years specialized in facilitating export or import transactions (ideally both) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of various PC software applications is required. Ability to work independently, with minimal follow-up and guidance.
    • Must have direct experience and knowledge of requirements for filing CBP entries filings.
    • USHTS classification experience required.  Experience with Mechanical, Machinery and Communication devices preferred.
    • Possess or in process or obtaining U.S. Customs Brokers License preferred
    • Previous experience with exports and imports regulated by the Departments of State preferred.
