    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serves as Facility Security Officer as it relates to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
    • Serves as the Facility Security Officer as it relates to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards
    • Interprets government security regulations to apply to the security programs
    • Conducts security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement safeguarding measures for protecting sensitive and company assets
    • Establishes pro-active security awareness program and conducts initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre/post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate
    • Executes requirements set forth in the Special Security Agreement (SSA) as it relates to Foreign Ownership, Control and Influence (FOCI)
    • Prepares reports and presentations for all levels of Management including the Government Security Committee (GSC)
    • Oversees compliance with visitor request system and contact reporting as part of Special Security Agreement requirements
    • Serves as primary liaison with Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other local, state & federal agencies
    • Conducts investigations and develops comprehensive incident reports
    • Coordinates receipt, transmission, and destruction of classified information
    • Maintains security clearances, document accountability, and visitor management programs and databases
    • Provides clear guidance to employees and contractors and recommends modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate
    • Ensures Information System (IS) compliance in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and the DSS Assessment and Authorization Process manual (DAAPM).
    • Maintain a facility-focused insider threat program in accordance with the enterprise insider threat plan. 
    •  Assume the role of a Trusted Business Partner for business units/key personnel as assigned by the CSO.
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Qualifications

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Homeland Security, Security Administration, Criminal Justice, Industrial Security Management, Information Systems Security, Computer Science, Information Technology Management or related field
    • A successful candidate must be professional, detail oriented, with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, perform under tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers
    • Self-starter with ability to work independently, customer service orientated
    • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other relevant professional security certification
    • Familiarity and experience with Security Information Management System (SIMS)
    • Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements to include collateral Closed Areas, along with working knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, SF702 and other required forms
    • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems
    • Courier preparation procedures
    • Experience developing and implementing OPSEC plans
    • Resourceful in solving problem and capitalizing on opportunities
