Job Description

• Assist in the design, development, and test of embedded software
• Assist in the delivery of high quality software design, documentation and implementation that meet defined requirements as well as support products throughout the life cycle
• Collaborate with team members across multiple engineering disciplines including Systems, Electrical, and Firmware
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

MANDATORY JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have all of the following to be considered for this position:

• Working towards a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Knowledge with C and C++
• Knowledge with microprocessor (single and/or multi-core) and microcontroller based designs
• Knowledge with standard software practices such as requirements management, source control management, IDEs, unit testing, and code reviews
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to work alone or on a team setting
• Skilled in MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

HIGHLY DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiar with other high level languages such as Python
• Exposure to Simulink and/or MATLAB

Additional Information

• Must be a current student enrolled in an Engineering degree program (Preferably Sophomore and above). 

• Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week.

• Must be capable of obtaining Department of Defence security clearance: Must be a US Citizen
