    Job Description

    The BUSINESS ANALYST I will work closely with the Director Business Intelligence to help drive growth opportunities and shape the ESA business portfolio.  This is an exciting opportunity that will expose the candidate to the full-breadth of Elbit America’s high-technology products and capabilities.

    The candidate will support Elbit America’s business pursuits, strategic planning efforts, and Merger and Acquisition (M&A) activities by providing timely and relevant knowledge-based products enterprise-wide. Candidate will provide strategic perspective and comprehensive analysis to enhance business decision-making and enable ESA’s competitive advantage.  The candidate will also provide competitive assessment(s) for new business pursuits and develop methodologies to make Elbit America’s distribution of data more efficient and effective.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with colleagues and stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of critical business capabilities and issues for Elbit America
    • Perform rigorous research using a variety of inputs, including industry-specific databases, trade and general news, company reports, industry reports, and other sources as needed
    • Engage in a wide variety of projects (market assessment, due diligence, and contract, budget, and financial analyses)
    • Track relevant competitive and industry trends & dynamics
    • Assist in distilling data into memos, slides, emails, spreadsheets, and other materials to communicate results of research and analysis
    • Create and manage excel models and databases
    • Deliver/communicate reports and findings to management and/or executive leadership
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business
    • Internship, work experience, or demonstrated interest in the aerospace & defense sector – or – with a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity, or venture capital firm
    • 1-3 years of professional experience (preferred)
    • Familiarity with relevant industry databases (e.g., DACIS, GovWin, Janes, FPDS, USASpending) (preferred)
    • Ability to implement process improvements, self-starter, process oriented
    • Creative research skills and ability to conduct sophisticated, pragmatic analyses of business issues
    • Ability to examine, analyze, validate and integrate critical information from many diverse markets and technologies
    • Quantitative skills sufficient to examine market trends, company financials, and other topics
    • Ability to perform company and market research & analysis
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
    • Ability to communicate ideas and build strong relationships with peers, managers, senior staff
    • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
