    Job Description

    We have an opening for a part-time secretary/receptionist to join our small Elder Law office that assists clients with Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Guardianship needs.  This position would be a job share opportunity with our current part-time Secretary.

    Responsibilities:

    ·         Greeting clients upon arrival. 

    ·         Performing client work as directed by the paralegal and/or attorney.

    ·         Typing, formatting, proofreading and/or finalizing documents, from dictation, handwriting, or existing documents as directed by the attorneys.

    ·         Maintaining electronic and paper files of legal documents updated contact lists, and company files.

    ·         Screening, taking and relaying accurate telephone messages and responding, as appropriate, when the mater does not require the attention of the assigned attorney.

    ·         Maintaining calendars of attorneys and organizing meetings, for clients consults and/or legal document signing.

    ·         Serve as witness and/or notary when documents are signed

    ·         Maintain and order office supplies

    ·         Other job duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    ·         1-2 years clerical experience in law field preferred, but not required

    ·         Exceptional technical skills required, as well as strong organizational, communication and client service skills.  Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and CRM.

    ·         Excellent time management, prioritizing skills, and ability to adjust to a changing work flow.

    ·         Must be detailed orientated, with excellent proofreading, grammar, and spelling skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and interface with clients professionally and effectively in person and on the phone.

    ·         Position requires high level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
