Job Description
The Board of Elections is seeking LBE Technical Support staff for Frederick County to assist Local Board of Elections (LBE) teams with technical setup, troubleshooting, and operational support during the election process. This role helps ensure election equipment and systems operate properly throughout testing, preparation, and election activities.

Pay: $26/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to assigned Local Board of Elections (LBE) staff
• Assist with setup and preparation of election equipment, including ballot scanners, ballot marking devices, and electronic pollbooks
• Troubleshoot minor technical or equipment issues as they arise
• Support election staff with equipment operation and basic system functionality
• Document technical incidents, issues, and resolutions as required
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any irregularities
• Follow all Board of Elections procedures, security protocols, and documentation requirements

Qualifications

• Basic technical troubleshooting or IT support experience preferred
• Comfortable working with computers, hardware equipment, and electronic systems
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow structured procedures and documentation guidelines
• Reliable and able to work in a professional, compliance-focused environment
