Electra creates active embedded battery pack controls, design simulation software, and data analysis to address the issues current e-mobility hardware presents. With the latest in Machine Learning and access to over 300 cell models for simulation, Electra is equipped to enable current battery pack technology for optimal range, performance, lifetime, and safety across electric mobility applications and industries.

    Electra is in search of a seasoned HR professional who is looking to lead both talent acquisition and HR operations to strategically build our teams. This individual must be willing to learn the technical nature of Electra's software product development in order to hire individuals qualified for our engineering team while collaborating with technical, business, and executive leadership. The position is both externally and internally facing, and requires a skilled individual with experience in both areas of human resources. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Hire engineering team and business team employees as company expands post 2021 Seed Round 
    • Scout individuals from automotive, AI, and e-mobility industries
    • Design and implement company onboarding process 
    • Onboard new employees seamlessly into engineering and business roles 
    • Establish policies and procedures for human resources operations between high volume hiring periods 
    • Ensure equity and inclusion in Electra's hiring processes and day-to-day activities
    • Manage employee benefits and welfare 
    • Develop company culture and plan company-wide training events 
    • Aid in career development for current employees and new hires
    • Ensure compliance with all state and federal government laws, including reporting requirements 
    • Lead and manage Human Resources team as team grows in the future 
    • Ready to launch new work-from-home initiatives and implement future hybrid office model 
    • Hire international team for future foreign subsidiaries 
    • Manage interns through MassCEC Internships and relationships with university programs

     

    Requirements & Experience: 

    • 5-10 years of HR experience in automotive, engineering, energy storage, and/or CleanTech field(s) 
    • Previous experience leading talent acquisition 
    • Strong interviewing skills and methodology 
    • Ability to multitask by leading inward and outward facing HR programs in a flexible startup environment 
    • Adept leadership capabilities and willingness to work independently 
    • Strong people skills and ability to collaborate closely with executive leadership `
    • Experience using BambooHR, Gusto, and the Predictive Index or equivalents

    Nice to Haves:

    • Familiarity with MA state and federal human resources regulations 
    • Degree in psychology, human resources, organizational behavior, etc.
    • Ability to develop and interest in leading team bonding activities
    • Interest in leveraging data insights to maximize employee progress and productivity
    • Experience with behavioral growth assessments i.e. The Predictive Index program 
    • Experience or interest in exploring digital IRI and cryptocurrency bonuses
