Melting Furnace Operator
Join a leading manufacturer and play a key role in our iron melting operations! We’re looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals to help power our client production team.

What You’ll Do

As a Melting Furnace Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our iron production process, responsible for ensuring efficient and safe furnace operations. Your key duties will include:

• Setting up and operating furnace charging equipment.

• Performing quality tests to ensure products meet specifications.

• Tapping the furnace into ladles and transporting molten grey iron.

• Monitoring temperatures, chemistry, and furnace conditions.

• Handling relines, cold starts, sinters, and breakouts as needed.

• Repairing ladles and furnaces and performing routine maintenance.

• Slagging the furnace, collecting samples, and making chemistry adjustments.

• Operating the scrap yard crane to load charge cars.

• Maintaining a clean, organized workspace following 6S standards.

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in melting, manufacturing, or industrial settings is a plus—but we’ll train the right candidate!

• A consistent, stable work history is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

• Ability to frequently bend, lift, and move items up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodations).
