A leading electro-mechanical service provider is seeking an experienced Electric Motor Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair electric motors and rotating equipment at customer sites across the region. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives on independence, excels in troubleshooting, and enjoys working in diverse industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair on electric motors, pumps, gear reducers, and other rotating equipment.
- Conduct field diagnostics including vibration analysis, balancing, laser alignment, and electrical testing.
- Ensure proper tolerances, clearances, and mechanical fits during disassembly and reassembly.
- Accurately document work performed, inspections completed, and test results.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional presence on job sites.
- Mentor and assist junior technicians when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, OSHA standards, and confined space requirements.
- Travel regularly, including overnight trips and participation in a rotating on-call schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays).
Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of field service experience working with motors or rotating equipment.
- Level 2 Vibration Certification preferred.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, test equipment, and computer-based reporting systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage time well.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with laser alignment, vibration data collection, and balancing.
- Familiarity with motor testing, electrical theory, and diagnostic software.
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience in a field service setting.
