    Job Summary

    We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. An electric motor and pump mechanic diagnoses, repairs, and maintains industrial motors, pumps, and related equipment, such as gearboxes and blowers. They perform disassembly and reassembly, bearing replacement, and precision alignment, dynamic balancing, using tools like multimeters, micrometers, and cranes to ensure efficient operation.

    The ideal candidate for an electric motor and pump mechanic is a skilled technician with 3 - 5+ years of experience in industrial electro-mechanical repair, including rebuilding AC/DC motors and pumps, and or gearboxes. They must be quality driven and possess strong diagnostic skills, ability to read technical schematics, and a commitment to safety.

    This position is full time 40hours/week.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Inspect and test AC/DC motors, pumps, and control systems using insulation resistance testers, ohm testers, and voltmeters to locate faults.

    Repair & Rebuilding: Disassemble, clean, dynamic balance, repair, and reassemble motors, pumps, and or gearboxes by replacing defective parts like bearings, seals, and impellers.

    Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and testing to prevent equipment failure.

    Installation & Laser Alignment: Install new or repaired equipment on job sites, ensuring proper coupling and alignment between the motor and pump.

    Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and test results.

    Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA standards, while working with high-voltage equipment, hazardous chemicals, and heavy machinery

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED is required

    Must have valid drivers license

    Must have your own essential mechanical tools such has ratchet and sockets, wrenches, prybars, hammers, chisels, ect.

    Must have experience with overhead cranes, hydraulic presses, power tools, and hand tools.

    Must have electrical instrument experience with tools such as: Megohmmeters, AC/DC test panels, and multimeters.

    Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and service manuals.
