    Technical Source is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Lead to lead the commissioning of critical power systems in our new state-of-the-art data center in Denton, TX. This role ensures that all electrical infrastructure — from utility feed to rack-level power distribution — is installed, tested, and proven reliable to meet mission-critical uptime requirements.

    The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, hands-on commissioning experience, and a proven ability to coordinate complex multi-disciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute the Electrical Commissioning Plan (CxP), including pre-functional checks, functional performance testing, and integrated systems testing (IST).
    • Commission critical electrical systems including:
      • Utility service and medium-voltage switchgear
      • Generators and paralleling switchgear
      • UPS systems and battery banks
      • Main and branch distribution boards, PDUs, busways, and RPPs
      • Grounding, bonding, and surge protection systems
    • Lead load testing, redundancy validation (N, N+1, 2N), and black-start scenarios.
    • Coordinate commissioning activities with mechanical commissioning, construction teams, vendors, and the owner’s operations staff.
    • Verify proper integration with EPMS/BMS and confirm alarms, trending, and protective relays operate as designed.
    • Maintain detailed commissioning logs, test reports, punch lists, and as-built documentation.
    • Provide training and handover to operations teams upon completion.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum 7–10 years of commissioning experience in mission-critical facilities, preferably data centers.
    • Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes, IEEE standards, NETA ATS/MTS, and Uptime Institute Tier requirements.
    • Proven hands-on experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and related systems.
    • Experience with load bank testing, ATS testing, breaker coordination, and IST.
    • Strong project management, team leadership, and communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
    • Familiarity with EPMS/BMS integration and trending is preferred.
