Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Designer to work closely with engineers, architects, general contractors, and owners to deliver complete design-build projects. The Senior Electrical Designer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of the engineering project within the area of assigned responsibility. They will create full electrical design drawing packages integrated with the input of field experts, estimators, and prefabrication.
This is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Lead Electrical Engineer of our Preconstruction department. It is based out of our Redmond, WA headquarters and is a fully in-office role, with some flexibility for remote work. Our office is open from 6am-5pm; team members have flexibility with their daily work schedule, based on their needs and the needs of their team and the work.
Responsibilities
The Electrical Designer handles all aspects of detailed engineering design work and assists with production as needed. This includes creating drawing packages from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Documents (CD), along with all associated floor plans, diagrams, schedules, compliance forms, and specifications. The role requires collaboration with the Preconstruction project manager, Preconstruction teams, and the installation team during both design and construction phases and managing the coordination of both internal and external contributors and stakeholders.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in electrical design, including power and lighting systems. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred, though not required. Additional qualifications needed for this role include:

Compensation
Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
