    Job Purpose

    This role supports the Energy division by providing electrical engineering support on solar and BESS projects. You’ll be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems that directly impact technical quality, field performance, and customer satisfaction. Success in this role means delivering accurate, constructible, and code-compliant electrical designs—all while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance.     What You’ll Do

    You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

    • Design and analyze electrical systems for solar and BESS installations
    • Create system layouts, stringing plans, voltage drop calcs, and specifications
    • Support construction with site visits and technical reviews
    • Develop and maintain system drawings, equipment specifications, and reports
    • Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, and industry standards
    • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and regulators
    • Review vendor submittals and coordinate with procurement
    • Maintain accurate documentation within project databases
    • Provide feedback and improvements based on field conditions
    • Assist with permitting and interconnection requirements
    • Travel to job sites as needed

    Qualifications

    You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education/experience
    • 1–2 years of experience in solar or power systems design
    • Working knowledge of NEC and renewable energy standards
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and Microsoft Office
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

    Pay Range

    We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.
    Pay Range: $85,000 – $115,000 per year plus discretionary incentive opportunities
