  • Responsibilities

    Blue Sages is looking for an Electrical Engineer interested in working with our team in the Medical Device industry.

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Provide electrical engineering skills to design, develop, analyze, characterize, verify and debug new product designs including analog and digital circuitry for Implantable devices and patient care instruments
    • Theory and working knowledge of antennas (LF & HF), matching circuitry, radios, and associated electrical connection topologies within implantables and patient programmers
    • Experience in integrating Firmware within embedded electronics
    • Design, execute, and validate test methods to characterize and verify adherence to standards, product and systems requirements
    • Work closely with design teams (Electrical, Systems, Firmware and IC Design) to root cause design issues, create test suites, Characterize, and ultimately Verify Electrical designs
    • Analysis of product performance using DFSS techniques
    • Validation of test environments including non-product software validation
    • Develop test methods and interface with certified test houses to verify/certify to global regulatory standards including IEC60601, ISO 14708-3 etc.
    • Develop production test requirements and support development of manufacturing test applications for PCBA and device assembly
    • Ensure understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable. Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
    • Ability to work with others internationally and travel globally

    Must Have: Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering discipline
    • Minimum of 4 years relevant engineering experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

    Nice to Have

    • MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • Demonstrated technical leadership ability
    • Experience in Hardware integration of RF subsystems
    • Experience with verification and validation of class II and class III medical devices
    • Experience developing automated test benches
    • Experience validating test scripts, methods and systems
    • Strong background in PCB design methodology including CAD tools and manufacturing processes
    • Experience modeling in MATLAB , C/C++, LabVIEW and/or Python scripting
    • Familiarity with ISO 14708 and/or IEC 60601
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    $90,000 per year
