About the Role

Join a venture-backed hardware startup in San Francisco developing high-performance power conversion systems for the next generation of electrified machines.

We believe the power stage is a critical bottleneck in modern electrified systems—and we’re building the technology to push its performance further.

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be a hands-on contributor across the full product development cycle. This is a broad engineering role rather than a narrow specialist position. You’ll move between circuit design, schematics, PCB reviews, harnesses, test fixtures, lab debugging, documentation, vendors, and production support.

Deep specialization is less important than strong engineering judgment, curiosity, and the ability to make hardware work in the real world.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, moves quickly, and knows how to work through problems. When you hit a wall, you don’t wait for someone else to solve it—you dig in, ask questions, run experiments, and find a path forward.

What You’ll Do

• Run complex power electronics simulations to inform circuit and system design
• Perform parasitic extraction and analysis for PCBs
• Design, prototype, test, and bring up production hardware
• Design and bring up hardware used in manufacturing and production lines
• Debug real-world hardware issues, including EMI, grounding, thermal, and manufacturing defects
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, harnesses, and electrical interfaces
• Build and improve test setups for hardware validation and production
• Work with vendors and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues
• Support products from early prototypes through production

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

• Experience designing and debugging electronics, through professional work, projects, research, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and circuit design
• Ability to learn quickly and independently in unfamiliar areas
• Hands-on approach to hardware development and debugging
• Resilience and persistence when solving difficult technical problems
• Strong ownership and a willingness to take responsibility for getting things done

Nice to Have

• Experience with power electronics or power conversion
• Experience with PCB design, layout, or parasitic analysis
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC, grounding, thermal management, or hardware validation
• Experience taking hardware from prototype through production
• Experience working with manufacturing partners or production test systems
