NYC local 3 electrical contractor seeks experienced Electrical Engineers for their growing business. MUST have previous experience working for an electrical contractor. Salary up to $160k including local 3 benefits

• Extensive Experience in Electrical Design & Coordination, including:

• Electrical systems from service entry to final distribution (LV systems, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Lighting, Controls, etc.)
• Layout and coordination of electrical rooms, feeders, cable trays, and branch circuits
• Coordination of power and low-voltage systems with other trades using BIM and Navisworks
• Strong Proficiency in 2D and 3D Modeling & Shop Drawings, including:
• Producing buildable shop drawings directly from 3D models
• Generating coordinated rack profiles, box layouts, and wall/slab penetration plans
• Creating lighting control shop drawings and interpreting vendor risers
• Construction Field Knowledge, including:
• Translating models into field-ready documents for prefab and installation
• Coordinating with electricians and project teams onsite
• Familiarity with NEC-compliant installations
• Electrical Calculation and Design Skills, including:
• Branch circuit sizing
• Voltage drops calculations and feeder sizing
• Conduit fill and box sizing
• Project Experience:
• Experience with commercial building projects (required)
• Experience with hospital or healthcare facilities, including knowledge of specialized systems such as emergency power, critical branch circuits, nurse call, and medical equipment coordination (preferred)
• Software Proficiency:
• Skilled in Autodesk AutoCAD MEP and Autodesk Navisworks (required) to produce detailed shop drawings
• Experience with Revit is not required
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred)
