Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Design high-voltage DC/DC converters, diode drivers, rectifiers, inverters, and power distribution/control circuits
Perform electrical simulations using SPICE or MATLAB/Simulink to optimize efficiency and reliability
Develop embedded and mixed-signal electronics integrating microcontrollers and FPGAs for telemetry, protection, and fault handling
Design and validate battery management and rapid-discharge power systems with strong thermal considerations
Create rugged wire harnesses and select connectors/cabling for high-power environments
Drive hands-on prototyping, bring-up, and environmental/vibration/shock testing
Conduct DFM reviews and collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and quality
Produce schematics, BOMs, and wiring documentation while ensuring compliance with safety and export regulations
Partner with mechanical, optical, and controls teams for full system integration
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in electrical or power electronics engineering (aerospace, defense, robotics, or similar)
Proficiency with Altium Designer , SPICE , and/or MATLAB/Simulink
Experience with high-voltage electronics, battery management systems, and diode driver circuits
Hands-on experience with rugged electronics assembly and integration
Familiarity with thermal management and EMI/EMC considerations
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Nice to Have
Experience deploying hardware in harsh or remote environments
Familiarity with MIL-STD specifications and export compliance
EMI/EMC shielding and mitigation experience
Active or obtainable security clearance
