The role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, develop, and test the electrical systems and PCBAs that power Vale's automated matcha machines.
- Design electrical schematics and PCB layouts for Vale's hardware systems
- Select and qualify components including power management ICs, microcontrollers, and sensors
- Conduct design reviews (schematic and layout) and lead PCB bring-up and validation
- Develop and execute electrical test plans and characterization studies
- Collaborate with Firmware engineers on hardware/software co-design
- Ensure designs meet relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage ECOs and maintain electrical documentation in PLM and design file systems
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 4+ years of electrical engineering experience in product hardware development
- Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Cadence
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and motor drive circuits
- Hands-on experience with bench equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and network analyzers
- Familiarity with safety standards (UL, CE, or IEC) a strong plus
Compensation
$100,000 – $138,000 per year
