    Who We Are:

Carnegie Robotics designs and manufactures advanced robotics systems and components for defense, agricultural, mining, industrial, and off-road autonomy applications. Our ruggedized solutions can meet the challenges of any industry, providing effective and efficient answers for even the toughest problems.

    What We're Looking for:

Carnegie Robotics seeks outstanding students for our internships and co-ops. We view internships as excellent opportunities for us to learn about future potential full-time hires while also contributing to students' education and their understanding of work practices in an engineering setting. Many of our interns return annually and take on ever more challenging tasks. Please note that this is a full time, on site position.

We accept college sophomore, junior, senior, masters and PhD level students. In all cases we expect to see excellent grades, work ethic and a strong desire to accomplish goals. We pay well and will help you grow beyond your technical comfort zone.

Electrical Engineering Interns will be treated as junior engineers on teams with an assigned mentor and will assist and work on the following aspects of projects:

    • Printed circuit board design
    • Cable harness design
    • Circuit test
    • Prototyping
    • Component research
    • SIL (system integration laboratory) development
    • Control system and communication application using CAN bus and Ethernet

Some examples of previous work include:

    • Participating in product design
    • Researching components and circuits
    • Working with senior engineers to revise existing designs based on customer feedback
    • Aiding in our manufacturing processes by troubleshooting electrical circuits that have failed during production
    • Solving problems in manufacturing by creating test fixtures to assist in assembly. This includes designing printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, and 3D printed parts to solve the problem at hand
    • Executing test plans
    • Contributing to CRLs growth by investigating and implementing new methods of prototyping

Hourly wage range is based on education and experience
