Butterfly Staffing is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our client’s dynamic estimating team. Reporting directly to the Director of Estimating, this individual will play a critical role in delivering precise and timely cost estimates for a variety of electrical projects, contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Review construction documents, including architectural, civil, and electrical blueprints, to accurately assess project scope for bidding.
Conduct detailed take-offs and input data into computer spreadsheets for analysis.
Source material pricing and solicit subcontractor bids as necessary.
Collaborate with bid team members to ensure all project timelines and bid submission requirements are met.
Identify and communicate any discrepancies or omissions in project documents to supervisory staff.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare comprehensive cost analyses using computer systems to incorporate materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
Provide estimates where predetermined standards are unavailable.
Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
Offer value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Support department leadership and contribute to team growth initiatives.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3-5 years of electrical estimating experience.
3-5 years of Accubid software experience (Required).
Experience in construction estimating (3-5 years preferred).
Experience with:
EV (Electric Vehicle) projects
Light electrical rollout projects
Lighting retrofits
Electrical, lighting, and signage maintenance contracts
Signage installations
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, civil, and electrical construction drawings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
This is a full-time, onsite position (office presence required daily). Some travel may be required to support project needs or site visits.
