Electrical Estimator (Experienced Electrician Transition Role) Full-Time | Lehigh Valley, PA | Great Pay + Benefits
At Shafnisky Electric Inc., we’ve been serving the Lehigh Valley since 1988 with a reputation for craftsmanship, professionalism, and community commitment. We’re looking for a seasoned electrician ready to take the next step in their career—someone with deep field experience who’s excited to transition into a full-time Estimator role.
This is a unique opportunity: begin in a hybrid role, splitting your time between field work, project support, and estimating, with a clear path toward a full-time Estimator position as you grow with us.
What You’ll Do (Hybrid Phase)
Apply your 10+ years of residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical knowledge to support projects.
Assist with service calls or troubleshooting when needed.
Partner with management to develop project scopes, timelines, and cost estimates.
Learn our estimating software, processes, and technology to support bidding.
Communicate with customers, vendors, and project teams to gather accurate bid details.
What You’ll Do (As Estimator)
Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Review blueprints, specs, and site conditions to identify requirements.
Build relationships with contractors, vendors, and customers to help secure work.
Collaborate with leadership on pricing, proposals, and project planning.
Play a key role in company growth, helping us win and manage new projects.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 10+ years in the electrical trade (residential, commercial, and some industrial).
Detail-Oriented: Accuracy and precision in all work.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with computers, email, and learning estimating software.
Problem-Solver: Ability to read drawings, assess conditions, and spot challenges early.
Professional Communicator: Clear, confident, and customer-focused.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, ability to pass a drug/background check.
What We Offer
Competitive Pay: Commensurate with experience, with advancement opportunities.
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan with match, and paid vacation/holidays/sick time.
Professional Growth: Hands-on mentoring to move from fieldwork into estimating.
Extras: Tuition reimbursement, $15/month cell phone stipend, potential company vehicle.
Stability: Year-round work with a company that has thrived since 1988.
Community Focus: Be part of a team that gives back through local drives and fundraising.
Why This Role?
This isn’t just another job—it’s your chance to step into the next chapter of your career. If you’ve spent years mastering the trade and want to shift into estimating, sales, or leadership without losing touch with what you know best, this role was built for you. You’ll still use your electrical expertise, but you’ll also shape the projects, guide the numbers, and help grow a company that values your future.
