    Job description:

    We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to join our team for a large indoor cannabis facility project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, particularly in the context of cannabis cultivation facilities, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the successful completion of projects. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT REFERENCES. Commercial building experience is also a must.

    Responsibilities:

    Project Management: Oversee and manage electrical projects specific to large indoor cannabis cultivation facilities, from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

    Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of electricians, providing guidance, support, and fostering a positive work environment tailored to the unique demands of cannabis cultivation facilities.

    Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on job sites, especially those relevant to cannabis facilities, to maintain a secure work environment.

    Quality Control: Ensure the highest quality standards in electrical installations and repairs specific to cannabis cultivation, including lighting systems, HVAC controls, and environmental monitoring equipment.

    Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize waste in the context of cannabis facility construction.

    Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and team members, particularly regarding the specialized electrical needs and challenges of indoor cannabis cultivation.

    Training and Development: Identify training needs for team members specific to the electrical requirements of cannabis facilities and facilitate ongoing skill development to enhance overall team performance in this specialized field.

    Additional Responsibilities for Cannabis Facility:

    • Design and installation of specialized lighting systems optimized for cannabis growth, including LED, HPS, and hybrid systems.

    • Implementation of climate control systems to maintain optimal temperature, humidity, and airflow for cannabis cultivation.

    • Integration of environmental monitoring and control systems to ensure consistent growing conditions and regulatory compliance.

    • Collaboration with other trades to coordinate electrical requirements with plumbing, HVAC, and irrigation systems specific to cannabis cultivation facilities.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in the context of cannabis facility construction.

    • Must be able to read blueprints and understand electrical plans tailored to cannabis cultivation facilities.

    • Must be able to effectively manage 15+ employees in a specialized electrical construction environment.

    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations relevant to cannabis cultivation facilities.

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on fostering teamwork and collaboration in a specialized industry.

    • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, particularly in the context of large-scale cannabis facility construction projects.

    • Demonstrated commitment to safety in the workplace, with an understanding of the unique hazards and regulations associated with cannabis cultivation facilities.

    • Experience with project management and scheduling software is a plus, with a preference for platforms tailored to the construction of cannabis facilities.

    On-Call Availability:

    The Electrical Foreman will be required to be on call for emergencies and urgent situations outside of regular working hours, specifically related to electrical systems in the cannabis facility. This entails being available to respond promptly to any electrical issues that may arise, including power outages, equipment failures, or environmental control system malfunctions, to minimize disruption to cultivation operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The on-call schedule will be coordinated and shared among the foreman team to ensure adequate coverage at all times, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of service delivery within our unique infrastructure.
