Position Overview
Veracity Electric is seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman Electrician to lead field operations and oversee electrical crews on commercial projects. The Foreman Electrician is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating work schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment while fostering a positive team culture.
As a Foreman Electrician, you will:
- Supervise and lead teams of electricians and apprentices on assigned job sites.
- Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, electrical schematics, and construction drawings.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and oversee electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, lighting, and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, project specifications, and company standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections and verify workmanship meets project requirements.
- Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper care of company tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, customers, inspectors, and other trades to support project success.
- Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and electricians to strengthen technical skills and leadership capabilities.
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, work logs, safety documentation, and project updates.
- Troubleshoot field issues and implement effective solutions to maintain project schedules.
- Promote, enforce, and model safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct jobsite safety meetings and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or crew leadership experience.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to travel to assigned job sites.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience managing multiple crews and complex electrical projects.
- Knowledge of project scheduling and construction management practices.

This position regularly requires:
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working for extended periods.
- Working at heights, on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and in confined spaces.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to construction environments, including noise, dust, and moving equipment.
- Travel between project sites as required.
- Overtime, weekend, and night work based on project schedules and operational needs.
Equipment and Tools Routinely Used
- Hand tools including pliers, screwdrivers, cutters, and conduit tools.
- Power tools such as drills, saws, threaders, and conduit benders.
- Electrical testing equipment including multimeters, megohm meters, and voltage testers.
- Ladders, lifts, measuring devices, and layout tools.
- Computers, tablets, and mobile devices for reporting and project communication.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
