We are looking for a Helper who wants to become an Elevator Mechanic in Myrtle Beach, SC!

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with troubleshooting elevator malfunctions (hydraulic, traction, MRL systems)

Perform minor repairs, part swaps, and diagnostic testing under supervision

Carry tools, hoist equipment, and prepare work areas for inspections or repairs

Support the mechanic during elevator shut-downs, resets, and safety tests

Maintain accurate service records and daily logs

Communicate clearly with customers and internal dispatch

Qualifications:

Required:

3+ years' experience in mechanical, electrical, or alarm system installation/repair

Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, or maintenance manuals

High school diploma or GED

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Must pass background check and drug screening

Preferred:

Electrical experience – power and hand tools

Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Desire to pursue a career in the elevator trade (apprenticeship path available)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Comfortable working in tight shafts, rooftops, and mechanical rooms

Stand, kneel, or climb for extended periods

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
