Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for a local client in Spring Grove, PA. Candidates who have a background working as an Industrial Electrician and have completed some instrumentation are encouraged to apply.
Job Summary:
- Working under direction of the lead craftsperson, the Electrical & Instrumentation MultiCraft Technician must be skilled in all facets of industrial electrical and instrumentation work, including, but not limited to, 3 phase motors up to 2300 volts, control components, pneumatic control devices, transmitters, control valves, and interfacing with PLC/DCS control systems. This technician should exemplify client's core values of Safety and Excellence.
Role and Responsibilities
- Adheres to client’s safety standards and promotes a safe working environment by attending all training, safety committee meetings, and verifying that all safety concerns are addressed.
- Upholds safety standards by consistently following safe practices, wearing protective equipment as required when performing tasks, and completing pre-job safety checklists.
- Works independently on routine assignments following drawings, sketches, oral or written instructions, established procedures and accepted practices.
- Provides all required documentation, time confirmations and feedback when the job has been completed.
- Crew Assignments and duties may vary at times based upon job & skill requirement, as well as available crew personnel to complete the work safely and efficiently.

- Must have an associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in the related field in addition to with 1 year of related experience and training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience equal to 4 years.
