    Trueline is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. This role offers the chance to lead detailed design of building electrical systems and oversee junior team members, while contributing to exciting projects across the region.     Must Haves as the Electrical Project Engineer:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
    • Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
    • On track for, or already holding, Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in New York State.
    • At least six years of experience designing building electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, special systems).
    • Strong grounding in electrical circuit theory, building power distribution, network systems, signals/controls, and lighting technologies.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).
    • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70).
    • Excellent written communication and technical report writing skills.
    • Valid New York State driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally among offices and project sites.

    What You'll Do as the Electrical Project Engineer:

    • Design comprehensive building electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm, communications, special systems) for both new construction and renovations.
    • Delegate, coordinate, and review the work of entry level and junior engineers, designers, and technicians.
    • Assist in developing project schedules and managing workload distribution among team members.
    • Refine and customize technical specifications from standard libraries.
    • Produce high quality technical reports and documentation.
    • Operate independently on assignments, receiving high level guidance only.

    Nice to Haves as the Electrical Project Engineer:

    • Prior experience mentoring or coordinating junior staff.
    • Background in client interaction, contract communication, or schedule management.
    • Experience in diverse project types (e.g., educational, commercial, healthcare, government) or familiarity with public sector clients.
