Senior Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead and deliver complex industrial, controls, and commercial electrical installation construction projects throughout the Twin Cities. This role is responsible for full project lifecycle ownership, from preconstruction and budgeting through execution, closeout, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, financial acumen, and hands-on experience managing field teams, subcontractors, and client relationships.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously, from kickoff through final closeout
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost controls
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal field leadership
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders
- Ensure projects comply with safety standards, quality requirements, and electrical codes
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and documentation
- Mentor and support Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, and field supervision
- Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams on project transitions and lessons learned
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of electrical construction experience with progressive project management responsibility
- Proven experience managing commercial and/or industrial electrical projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices
- Demonstrated success managing project financials, schedules, and risk
- Ability to lead teams and influence across field and office environments
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office tools
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with design-build or negotiated work
- Exposure to industrial power, controls, or process-related electrical systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
