    Electrical Quality Control (QC) Specialist, Federal Construction
    Location: Norfolk, VA | Full-Time | Onsite

    Overview:
    Butterfly Staffing is seeking a qualified Electrical QC Specialist to support an upcoming federal construction project in Norfolk, VA. This full-time, onsite position will oversee electrical scope quality compliance throughout the life of the project and report directly to the QC Manager.

    We’re looking for an experienced electrical professional with at least 10 years in roles such as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager, and a strong background in electrical systems and federal QA/QC standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and inspect the electrical work performed on site to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, field supervisors, and the overall QC team to maintain quality across all electrical installations
    • Review electrical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and as-built documentation
    • Perform inspections and testing of systems including conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, and grounding systems
    • Maintain accurate inspection reports, deficiency logs, and resolution tracking
    • Support the QC Manager in managing the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up) for electrical work
    • Ensure all work meets safety, code, and regulatory standards in accordance with project specs and applicable NAVFAC/USACE guidelines

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • 10+ years of electrical construction experience in one or more of the following roles:
      • Project Superintendent
      • QC Manager
      • Project Engineer
      • Construction Manager
    • Proven experience with government or military construction projects preferred
    • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1, NFPA, NEC codes, and USACE/NAVFAC QC protocols

    Certifications:

    OSHA 30 Construction Safety

    • CQM-C for Contractors (USACE/NAVFAC)
    • CPR / First Aid
    • DBIDS or the ability to obtain government base access
