  • Responsibilities

    AIMECH USA is currently seeking an Electrical Setup Engineer / Technician to support automation equipment installation, electrical setup, commissioning, and on-site technical support.

    AIMECH USA specializes in automation equipment, machine vision systems, engineering, installation, setup, maintenance, and in-house R&D.

    This position will primarily support automation equipment setup and technical operations at a customer site in Canada.

    1. Work Location

    • NextStar Energy site • Windsor, Ontario, Canada

    1. Key Responsibilities

    • Support electrical setup and installation of automation equipment • Assist with equipment startup, testing, and commissioning • Inspect wiring, electrical connections, and equipment interfaces • Check sensors, motors, control devices, and related automation components • Perform on-site troubleshooting and technical support • Assist with PLC and automation control-related tasks • Communicate with customers and internal engineering teams • Support equipment stabilization and production line setup

    1. Qualifications

    • Technical education or hands-on experience in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field is preferred • Candidates without a related degree are welcome to apply if they have hands-on technical experience in electrical work, equipment setup, wiring, installation, maintenance, or automation systems • Experience with automation equipment, electrical setup, installation, or field engineering is preferred • Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, electrical wiring, or industrial equipment is preferred • Must be comfortable working in an on-site industrial environment and traveling as needed • Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn, good work ethic, and a responsible attitude are encouraged to apply

    1. Work Authorization / Visa

    • U.S.-based applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada • For Canada-based applicants, AIMECH USA may provide TN visa support for future U.S. assignments, subject to eligibility requirements • Ability to support projects in both the U.S. and Canada is preferred • Immediate availability is strongly preferred

    1. Preferred Experience • Automation equipment installation, setup, or commissioning • Battery manufacturing or automated production line experience • PLC or industrial electrical systems • Machine Vision, Conveyor, Pneumatic, or other automation systems • Korean and English bilingual communication skills
