POSITION OVERVIEW
This position will be responsible for overseeing the everyday activities of their assigned project, including but not limited to procuring, evaluating, and allocating the resources, materials, tools required for the project and managing the associated documentation for the job. Providing the most cost-effective and efficient means available to produce a profitable project.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Design/layout process
- Develop Task Planners
- Understand and develop a project approach to profitability
- Attended regular Job site meetings with GC, Owner, and Design Team
- Read and understand all project requirements including project contracts and subcontracts
- Ensure the field team understands the project scope and specifications
- Create and manage detailed plans and schedule, field project schedule and manpower loader
- Set and manage expectations for field staff
- Work with project site field leaders to maintain the project schedule
- Provide PM with QTYs for major material items and buyouts
- Create a prefab plan. Work with and manage the project field team as it relates to prefab.
- Create a tool plan including future projections for the project and maintain the appropriate levels of material and tools during the life of the project.
- Create Subcontractor schedules/look ahead
- Manage onsite field supervisors and field workforce
- Work with the GC and other trades to establish a productive and efficient work environment
- Track and manage productivity on the job site
- Assist with writing of RFI’s
- Manage rental/ consumable safety/ tooling budgets
- Ensure As-builts are up to date and compliant with contract requirements
- Manage Project labor hours budgets weekly
- Ensure all close-out docs have been submitted
- Maintain efficient and manageable laydowns
- Produce percent completes for monthly WIP reports
- Uphold all expectations of standards on QA/QC
- Other duties as assigned
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with SGF, GF and Foreman daily duties
- Mentoring direct and indirect subordinates and peers
- Identify potential leaders
- Identify, develop and implement better processes
- Create and maintain a positive work environment
REQUIREMENTS
- OSHA 30 Certification
- At least ten years of electrical experience and 5 years of experience running projects as a primary lead
- TDLR Electrical Journeyman License
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook).
