    Job Summary – Electrical Wiring Technician

    A growing electrical manufacturing company in the Kansas City area is seeking an experienced Electrical Wiring Technician / Panel Builder to join our production team.

    This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing custom electrical power distribution equipment in a manufacturing environment.

    This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in panel building, switchgear, switchboards, industrial electrical assembly, or electromechanical assembly who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work from electrical schematics and layout drawings.

    Responsibilities – Electrical Wiring Technician

    • Assemble and wire custom electrical equipment, panels, enclosures, and power distribution systems
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and layout drawings
    • Route, cut, label, terminate, and connect wiring neatly and accurately
    • Install electrical components such as breakers, relays, terminal blocks, meters, lugs, and other hardware
    • Assist with assembly and installation of bus bar and related power distribution components
    • Perform point-to-point wiring and electrical terminations to specification
    • Use hand tools, power tools, crimpers, wire strippers, torque tools, and measuring devices
    • Inspect completed assemblies for quality, accuracy, and compliance with build requirements
    • Perform continuity checks, basic electrical testing, and troubleshooting as needed
    • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to complete custom builds on schedule
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area

    Qualifications – Electrical Wiring Technician

    • 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, panel building, industrial wiring, switchgear, switchboards, or electromechanical assembly
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Experience with wiring terminations, crimping, lugs, and panel/component installation
    • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical assembly
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift

    Preferred Qualifications – Electrical Wiring Technician

    • Experience building control panels, switchboards, switchgear, MCCs, or other power distribution equipment
    • Experience working with bus bar, copper, or power distribution components
    • Experience in a manufacturing or panel shop environment
    • Familiarity with UL-built equipment or electrical enclosure assembly
    • Basic troubleshooting and electrical testing experience
