POSITION OVERVIEW
Residential & Commercial Journeyman Electricians are responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in residential homes, commercial buildings, remodels, tenant improvements, and new construction projects. Journeymen are expected to lead by example, ensure all work is completed safely and to code, mentor apprentices, and deliver high-quality workmanship and professionalism on every project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Arizona Journeyman Electrician License preferred
Minimum 4+ years of residential and/or commercial electrical experience
Strong knowledge of NEC code and Arizona electrical code requirements
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and specifications
Experience with rough-in, trim, troubleshooting, service work, and panel installations
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently
Leadership skills and ability to train and mentor apprentices
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple job tasks
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, rooftops, attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor job sites in Arizona heat
Must be able to pass a drug test and remain drug-free
Must maintain a clean and professional appearance on job sites
OSHA 10 certification preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and complete residential and commercial electrical installations
Perform rough-in, trim-out, remodel, tenant improvement, and service work
Read and interpret electrical plans, load calculations, and specifications
Install and terminate panels, subpanels, switchgear, disconnects, and service equipment
Install conduit systems including EMT, PVC, flex, and underground raceways
Pull and terminate conductors in accordance with NEC requirements
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and electrical service upgrades
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC code and local regulations
Inspect work for quality, safety, and code compliance
Mentor and train apprentices on proper installation techniques and safety practices
Communicate professionally with clients, builders, inspectors, and project managers
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Order and manage materials needed for jobs when required
COMPENSATION
STARTING PAY: $25.07 PER HOUR
