    Role Overview:

    The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of electrical and low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, security, communications, and related equipment. This role ensures compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations while providing timely technical support and troubleshooting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, lighting, and devices.
    • Install, program, and service low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security, access control, data, and communication wiring.
    • Test and inspect electrical and low-voltage systems to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
    • Prepare accurate documentation of work performed, test results, and service reports.
    • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to meet project objectives and deadlines.
    • Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to company and OSHA policies and procedures.
    • Stay current with new technologies, tools, codes, and industry best practices.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 2+ years of experience in electrical or low-voltage installation and service work (fire alarm experience preferred).
    • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable low-voltage standards.
    • Familiarity with testing equipment, tools, and installation techniques for both electrical and low-voltage systems.

    Capabilities:

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using tools, equipment, and machinery.

    Working Conditions:

    • Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, with potential exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and chemicals.
    • Requires bending, climbing, lifting heavy tools and materials, and working in confined spaces.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, and working in awkward positions may be required.
