Key Activities and Accountabilities
Ensure that the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and peripherals is carried out safely, effectively and to required standards
Determine required equipment and installation method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry and welding techniques
Observe electrical performance tests to evaluate quality and conformance to specifications
Analyze technical drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and electrical operations
Work with safety as a top priority in order to minimize accidents and incidents, diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
Lay out, position and install electrical equipment and components according to defined specifications

Job Knowledge and Qualifications
Electrician certificate
1+ years experience of electrical work ideally in the oil and gas industry
