    Job Summary: An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in homes, commercial buildings, and industrial settings. The Electrician will work with a variety of electrical components and systems, ranging from basic wiring to more complex electrical systems, such as lighting, communication systems, and security systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Install and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures, according to local and national electrical codes

    Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards or defects, and repair or replace as necessary

    Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, and recommend solutions to customers

    Collaborate with other contractors and workers, such as HVAC technicians and plumbers, to complete projects

    Install and maintain lighting systems, including LED lighting, outdoor lighting, and emergency lighting

    Install and maintain communication systems, such as intercoms and fire alarm systems

    Install and maintain security systems, including cameras and access control systems

    Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics

    Follow safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and organized work area

    Communicate with customers to explain electrical issues, and provide estimates for repairs and installations

    Requirements

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems

    Valid electrician's license or certification, according to state and local regulations

    Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety procedures, and regulations

    Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics

    Strong communication and customer service skills

    Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
