Job Description:
A Hiring Group is currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Licensed Electricians (C-10) to join the growing team at HVAC Alliance Expert in San Diego County!
This role supports the SDG&E® Small Business Saver Program, helping eligible small businesses in Disadvantaged Communities (DAC) or those meeting Hard-To-Reach (HTR) criteria. The program focuses on providing site-specific energy assessments, customer education, and no-cost energy-saving upgrades to reduce utility bills.
As a performance-driven independent contractor , this position offers a high earning potential for electricians who excel in both field execution and on-site customer communication.
Key Requirements:
Active California C-10 Electrical Contractor License
Own tools and work vehicle
General liability insurance
Strong customer communication skills with the ability to manage site visits, quotes, and close work with business owners
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and submit daily documentation
Professional appearance and strong communication
Experience with commercial retrofit and energy-efficiency installations is preferred
Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site inspections and energy assessments for small businesses
* Verify site conditions (fixtures, devices, installation requirements)
* Take pre-installation photos and collect details for compliance
* Confirm customer eligibility before proposing any project, including verifying SDG&E account status, Public Goods Charge, peak demand, and DAC/HTR status
* Present upgrade recommendations and explain the savings opportunity
* Secure customer approval prior to installation
* Install energy-saving measures including LED lamps, smart thermostats, and more
* Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and maintain professional workmanship
* Submit required documentation same day (before and after photos, fixture labels, model numbers, change orders)
* Incomplete documentation can delay payment and commissions
Compensation:
Commission-only role
12% base commission on approved and completed projects
15% commission for exceeding weekly/monthly targets
20% commission for $200,000+ monthly project volume (includes bonuses)
Example Earnings:
For a monthly project volume of $200,000, you can earn $40,000 in commission.

Maintain a steady pipeline of site visits, assessments, and installs
Excellent customer interactions
Growth Path:
High performers can earn $30,000–$40,000+ per month
