Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Electrician's Helper to join our team.
The Electrician's Helper will assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and residential environments. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, takes pride in their work, and wants to develop their skills in the electrical trade.
The successful candidate must have a positive, can-do attitude, work well as part of a team, and understand that safety, quality, reliability, and professionalism are expected on every job site.
Responsibilities:
Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
Assist with pulling wire, installing conduit, boxes, devices, fixtures, and other electrical components
Carry, organize, and properly handle tools, equipment, and materials
Measure, cut, assemble, and prepare materials as directed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company, job-site, OSHA, and industry safety requirements
Properly use and care for tools, equipment, ladders, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or other job-site concerns
Follow instructions from electricians, supervisors, and project management
Work cooperatively with coworkers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and other trades
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment
Perform other electrical and construction-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Dependable, punctual, and able to report to various job sites as scheduled
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
Basic understanding of measurements and mathematical concepts
Ability to safely lift and carry electrical materials, tools, ladders, and equipment
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work for extended periods
Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying job-site conditions
Strong attention to detail
Professional appearance and courteous attitude
Willingness to learn and develop electrical trade skills
Electrical or construction experience is preferred, but not required
