Our product line started with the Trackchair and has grown to include other tracked/mobility products, as well as other custom fabrication work done for customers.     The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving electro-mechanical products and systems. This position works closely with internal teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions while supporting existing products and production needs.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Design and develop mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, and systems.

    Create and maintain technical documentation including schematics and diagrams.

    Develop testing process and conduct detailed analysis and testing of new designs.

    Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical issues.

    Support manufacturing with production, assembly, and design-related issues.

    Evaluate and improve the efficiency and reliability of existing products.

    Assist with new product development and engineering changes.

    Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards.

    Assist with writing standard operating procedures to ascertain the best sequence of operations or workflow, testing, calibrating, and adjusting equipment to maximize efficiency of production.

    Work with suppliers and internal departments for component selection and procurement

    Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams

    Maintain accurate engineering records and follow company quality and document-control procedures.

    Manage project timelines and milestones effectively.

    Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

    Education & Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or a related field

    Experience with mechanical and electrical systems

    5+ years in an applicable engineering role

    Strong knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations

    Knowledge of equipment and tools (CNC, lathe, laser, roller, bender, press, welding processes, powder coating, assembly) preferred

    Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools (SolidWorks)
