    GLOBAL IT SENIOR DIRECTOR BUSINESS APPLICATIONS

    Locations: CORPORATE HQ - WEST HILLS, CA

    SUMMARY:

    The ERP BUSINESS ANALYST (D365 FUNCTIONAL ANALYST) will be an in-house technical resource responsible for the design, documentation and support of our global Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (F&O) system to work in conjunction with all other IT applications and helping to manage the AMS provider and the global business. 

    Electro Rent Corporation runs several IT Systems across multiple platforms serving a worldwide user base 24/7/365. This role will support users and systems, primarily focused on supporting the Global and U.S. Support Desks. Travel to any of our global offices may also be required.

     

    MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •       Take a key role within the IT Organization promoting functional solution best practice.

    •       Support in the design of solutions to best satisfy the business’ requirements within the constraints and best practice guidelines for Dynamics 365 F&O.

    •       Help manage the offshore Application Support Provider

    •       Help identify key areas for business and system improvement

    •       Work with Functional Architect on discrete projects

    •       Gather and translate business requirements with respect to the success of the business goal(s) and converts into a functional specification.

    •       Documents business processes following system changes and inputs to the automation of test cases.

    •       Works across multiple projects at any one time as well as providing support to the wider team when required.

    •       Help to develop future roadmap of D365 and how it can be best utilized and adopted within the business, suggesting innovative solutions to business problems that leverage technology to provide improvements and better user experiences.

    •       Supports AMS provider in the D365 F&O competency to ensure their tasks are carried out to the required level of accuracy and expectation for the business; escalating any and all concerns as deemed required.

    •       Provides accurate level of effort estimates and delivers/manages/oversees task schedules inc. completion of configuration within D365 as and when required as part of change or fix items.

    •       Work closely with IT Organization, including IT Leadership Team, Project Managers, Functional and Technical teams to ensure successful and complete delivery of all initiatives.

    •       Interacts well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team to accomplish the business goal.

    •       Attend and participate in meetings that pertain to assigned responsibilities.

    •       Comply with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations.

    •       Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include cross-utilization within the department or with other departments as well as travel across global sites.

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    •       3+ years prior AX experience, 2+ years D365 for F&O

    •       Ideally 5+ years with ERP experience

    •       Certification in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Functional Consultant Associate or Finance Functional Consultant Associate

    •       Experience of working a global and multicultural environment.

    •       Proven experience of business analysis and process documentation

    •       Broad modular background/understanding of D365/AX

    •       Have previously worked within a IT change environment

    •       Sure Step delivery methodology experience

    •       Experience with ADO

    •       Experience working with Agile/SCRUM software development methodology

    •       Shares responsibility for out-of-hours applications support

     

    DESIRABLE:

    •       Understand modern web architectures

    •       Reporting with Power BI

    •       Working knowledge of SSIS & SSRS

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ·         Computer Science Degree preferred

    ·         Certified in Dynamics D365

    ·         8+ years’ IT experience

    ·         Exceptional project management and organization skills

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
