Electronic Health Record Support Specialist
Job Summary:
As an Electronic Health Record Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and supporting end-users in utilizing our EHR system, Epic. You will serve as a subject matter expert to provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to ensure the efficient and effective use of the EHR system and other related applications, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Assist staff in effectively using Epic EHR through real-time, hands-on support.
Assist users with EHR workflows, navigation, and troubleshooting.
Conduct training sessions and contribute to the development of training materials to support end-users in effectively utilizing the EHR system.
Escalate complex system issues appropriately and follow through to resolution.
Utilize and maintain the ticketing system to track and document support calls.
Assist with general IT functions to support the overall operations of the department.
Qualifications:
EHR proficiency (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or other equivalent work experience) (Preferred)
Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and interact effectively with end users.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to audiences with various levels of computer knowledge.
Professional demeanor.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
