    We have an immediate need for an Electronics Engineering Technician based out of our Rochester Hills, Michigan headquarters. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have:

    Job Duties:

    Translate system level schematics or block diagram into wire harness assembly designs and drawings

    Fabricate and document prototype wire harness assemblies based on drawings and satisfy all acceptance criteria

    Design, document, and manage testing harnesses for end-of-line testing of wire harness assemblies

    Ensure all documentation is in the proper format and is stored in the location identified by the Technical Lead Systems Engineer

    Participate in design review process

    Specify and verify production tooling necessary for wire harness assembly components

    Perform wire harness assembly revisions based on notes, sketches, markups, etc.

    Documents, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacture of final product

    Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, knowledge of electronics and end of line testing

    Adjust and replace defective circuitry and electronic components

    Create Bill of Materials (BOM), a comprehensive inventory of the raw materials, assemblies, subassemblies, parts and components, as well as the quantities of each, needed to manufacture product

    Train new assembly technicians

    Review and regularly demonstrate understanding of the acceptance criteria for wiring harnesses (IPC-WHMA-A-620A) and full acceptance criteria for electronic assemblies (IPC-A-610).

    Experience and Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Technical Certificate in Engineering Electronics or related field preferred

    5 years of experience with wire harness assembly, schematics, design and testing preferred

    General knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Strong knowledge of vehicle electronics and architecture

    Strong written and oral communication skills
