    Position Summary:

    The Electronics Restoration Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, cleaning, and restoration of electronic devices and appliances affected by fire, smoke, water, or environmental exposure. This role requires a methodical approach, problem-solving skills, and comfort working with a wide range of devices—from televisions and computers to home theater and household electronics. Work will take place both in-house and on-site at customer properties, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    On-Site:

    • Communicate professionally with customers to explain the restoration process and answer questions

    • Assist with or lead the mapping, labeling, and removal of electronic devices during pack-out

    • Document how items are connected (especially computer systems and home theaters) for accurate reconnection

    • Direct less-technical team members during pickups and reconnections, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction

    • Reinstall and reconnect items during pack-back, verifying functionality and addressing any issues

    In-House:

    • Test and validate the functionality of a wide range of electronics, including appliances, TVs, computers, and AV equipment

    • Clean and restore electronics using approved methods and tools

    • Determine repairability vs. replacement based on condition and testing results

    • Perform final testing to ensure items are fully operational before return

    • Maintain accurate documentation of all testing, repair actions, and results in accordance with company standards

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities):

    • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; must be comfortable disassembling and reassembling electronic devices

    • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

    • Ability to manage multiple items and prioritize workflow efficiently

    • Professional appearance and customer service skills

    • Knowledge of electronics repair, home theater setup, computer systems, and legacy devices

    • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 lbs

    • Ability to drive a 16’ box truck is a plus

    Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics, appliance, or computer repair (professional or hobby-related)

    • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation

    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT health screening
