Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrophysiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing specialized diagnostic evaluations and assisting with cardiac catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced lab environment.
Duties
- Conduct electrophysiology studies and assist in cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient data and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide accurate assessments.
- Operate and maintain electrophysiology equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with medical protocols.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology and radiology practices.
Experience
Candidates should have a background that includes:
- Certs: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS
- Years of Experience: 1 year(s)
- Charting System: Epic - Required
- Special requirements: Looking for experienced Electrophysiology Technician. RCES preferred but will also take RCIS with EP experience or Montana Licensed Rad Tech with ARRT with EP experience.
- Experience in a lab setting, preferably within cardiology or related fields.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to electrophysiology and cardiology.
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization techniques and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and emergency medicine principles.

- Is on-call required? Yes Assigned a late day once per week to cover if cases go past 1730
- Are block schedules required? Yes
- What are expected ratios? 2 EP techs per lab
