Job Description

ELEMENT 84 is looking for INTERNS with experience or interest in software design, testing and development. With core development skills in Ruby, HTML, CSS and Javascript. Each team member (intern) will be working on a software development project as part of a team under the guidance of senior engineers. Possibly working on prototyping software. Specific work assignments will include, but not be limited to; developing, testing and debugging new and existing applications. Working in an agile software environment using Atlassian Tools.  The internship will be from May 2019 - August 2019, in Alexandria, VA.

The focus of the internship is SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT.

TASKS:

• Working in an Agile software environment, using Atlassian tools
• Using modern development languages, like HTML/CSS/Javascript 
• Developing and testing against actual user stories

DETAILS:

• Hourly Paid Internship: Full-time approx. 40hrs/week

• Core Hours from 10am-3pm (with flexibility) Monday thru Friday

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related major

• Be able to demonstrate proficiency in one modern development language

• Working knowledge of software languages

• Approved to work in the united states without sponsorship

DESIRED SKILLS:

EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Agile Development

• AWS Cloud Computing Skills

• Ruby On Rails, HTML, CSS, Javascript
