Job Summary

Khalsa Montessori School is seeking a dedicated, reliable, Extended Care Coordinator who will supervise the Extended Care(after school) program. Candidates must have experience working with young children and share our commitment to holistic education. The hours are 11:00am - 6pm, Monday-Friday. This position begins July 14th.

Qualifications:

Strong written and communication skills

Clear boundaries

Reliable and trustworthy

Physically healthy and free of chemical addictions (non-smoking)

IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

CPR & First Aid certification before joining work

Negative TB Test within 12 months

A minimum 2 years experience with Elementary Aged Children (6-12yrs)

High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Ensuring a fun, safe, and supportive environment for the after school program

Plan and supervise student activities

Supervise the Extended Care staff and oversee the entire program

Supervise children during snack time and on the playground

Work with the Classroom teachers and communicate about student behavior

Be in regular communication with the Site Coordinator

Participate in Staff Meetings

Communicate with Parents as needed
